State Question 759
SQ 759 will appear on the ballot in November 2010 and will basically ask voters whether to repeal “affirmative action” laws in Oklahoma. In fact, the laws in Oklahoma are no more than guidelines for goals by state agencies. Repeal would drastically reducing equal opportunity mostly for women, but also for minorities. COHRA urges a NO vote on SQ 759 and has produced a resolution stating the case for retaining the policy, which has been signed by its members and by diverse organizations across the state.
